• Raw image. This image can be flashed to a CF or a harddisk (HDD) via a rawrite utility.



For Windows users, PhyDiskWrite utility is recommend.
For Linux users, dd command "dd if=[image filename] of=[CF block device]" is recommend.



• ISO image. This image can be burn to an ISO CD (bootable).Boot your system with this CD and write Ikarus on your selected drive.



• Upgrade image. You can upgrade your existing IkarusOS system simply, by choosing Firmware Upgrade on IkarusOS Manager.

• Level#0 : i) 24 hour uptime, ii) cannot save configuration

Upgrade Note: License keys of all previous IkarusOS Versions are valid for any new IkarusOS Version, only through upgrade procedure and not via re-flashing/re-installing.

• Physical Disk Write Util
  
  Physical Disk Writer is a utility which is used to write a flash while in a Windows Operating System.
  Note: The PhysDiskWrite utility is written by Manuel Kasper as part of his m0n0wall project (http://www.m0n0.ch/wall/).
  Users can use any common utility which can write on a medium raw image of a disk (like 'dd' utility for Linux-based systems)
